Self-collected several miles north of Big Bend National Park, this piece of striated jasper has a lovely expression of green, pink and several tones of gray and brown jasper. Although fairly bland looking in the rough, I was hopeful the colors would come out to full expression once polished - I love it when I’m right! I was able to get several nice pendants from this rock. I used brass, blue green crystal beads and a flat cast brass swirl etched bead to highlight the colors and textures in the stone. The pendant has a 3.4 inch drop from an 18.5 inch antiqued gold chain, pendant stone is .72 inch X 2.2 inches.
