Self-collected several miles north of Big Bend National Park, this piece of agatized jasper has a lovely expression of green, pink and several tones of gray and brown jasper. Although fairly bland looking in the rough, I was hopeful the colors would come out to full expression once polished - I love it when I’m right! I was able to get several nice pendants from this rock, however this piece does not have easily visible agate. I used brass, purple cultured pearl, and square hematite beads to highlight the colors and textures in the stone. The handmade signature brass bail is held in pace by double-swirls on the back. The pendant has a 2.35 inch drop from a 20 inch antiqued gold chain, pendant stone is 1 inch X 1.5 inches.
