Llano River Striated Jasper
Self-collected from the Llano River in Central Texas’ Hill Country in the Llano Uplift, this sweet jasper has an interesting flow of colors and accents in neutral colors. I’ve created a side-by-side bail extension with hematite and crystal beads to add color and texture to its 24 inch silver satellite chain. The pendant stone is .8 inches X 2.1 inches.
Rockhounding on the Llano River is one of my favorite things to do! Long before I learned how to cut and polish stones and make natural stone pendants, I was walking along the banks of the Llano River in Central Texas picking up a wide variety of quartz, jasper, granite, hematite, feldspar and chert.
